This workshop will facilitate interactive investigation of new methodologies for theatre and performance to combat themes of climate change in terms of practical choices, direct audience impacts, and intangible cultural impacts. Through a blend of (post)apocalyptic theatre games and theory-in-practice experiments, the capabilities of the performing arts to both engage with climate science and to undo and challenge the destructive logics perpetuating catastrophic climate change will be collectively interrogated.
